The embodiment of a century

“The embodiment of a century” is a small step towards documenting the flow of visual arts in Iran over the past one hundred years. This collection aims not only to introduce artists, as is customary in compiling encyclopedias, but also to provide an encyclopedic view of the visual arts movement in Iran over the last century.
This approach involves a comparative yet concise examination, focusing not only on the life of individual artists but also on significant artistic events and movements. This allows the viewer to gain a clearer picture of the ups and downs of artistic trends and cultural policymaking throughout the 14th century in the Iranian calendar. Each film addresses important events, key figures and artistic movements, the establishment of art universities, the launch of galleries, and the formation of artistic societies. This comprehensive approach offers a more precise depiction of the various artistic periods over the past century.

Together, these films form pieces of a puzzle that provide a relatively complete picture of the artistic movements in Iran.
