Farzin Hedayat zadeh
Title: Apocalypse
Farzin Hedayat zadeh, born in 1970 in Gonbad-e Kavus, began his artistic endeavors in calligraphy during childhood. He achieved an excellent degree from the Iranian Calligraphers Association in 1992. He then pursued studies in sculpture and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran in 2002.
His continuous participation in the second through sixth Tehran Biennial Sculpture Exhibitions, active membership in the Iranian Sculptors Association, including serving on its Board of Writers, and his role as a board member of the 12th term of the Iranian Sculptors Association, as well as managing the publications for the fifth Biennial Sculpture Exhibition and the first sales exhibition of Iranian artists’ works, have all contributed to his extensive artistic career.
Hedayat zadeh has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His sculpture won first place at the Academy of Arts of Tehran in the fifth Biennial Sculpture Exhibition in 2007. In 2008, his sculpture “The House of Two Friends” won first prize at the Tehran Visual Arts Festival. His work titled “Hichestan” (Land of Nothingness) won the jury prize at the sixth Biennial Sculpture Exhibition from the Tehran Beautification Organization.
Among his installed sculptures are:
- “Father and Two Sons” in Martyrs’ Square, Tehran (2007)
- “Siah Mashgh” in Sero Square, Tehran (2006)
- Memorial monument for war martyrs in Tehran (2008)
In 2009, the Tehran Municipality’s District 13 assigned him the design and execution of the “Sacred Birds Monument” in memory of unknown soldiers from the Iran-Iraq War.
