Kourosh Golnari

Graduate of Bachelor’s in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts. He holds a Master’s degree in Art Research and is a faculty member at the University of Tehran.

Kourosh Golnari’s works are held in numerous domestic and international collections, the most notable of which is his work in the permanent collection of the LACMA Museum in Los Angeles.

Some of his solo exhibitions:

  • 2018 “Silence”, One by One Gallery, Al Quoz, Dubai.
  • 2011 “Kings”, Aun Gallery, Tehran, Iran.
  • 2009 International City of Artists, Paris, France.

Kourosh Golnari was born in 1964 in Shiraz. He began his artistic activities in 1983 in Shiraz and moved to Tehran in 1991 for his studies. He has been the secretary of the 7th National Biennial of Sculpture in Tehran at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. Golnari has served as the secretary and a board member of the Iranian Sculptors Association for three consecutive terms. He has also been a member of policy-making, judging, and selection committees for numerous festivals and biennials.

Kourosh Golnari is a member of the International City of Artists in Paris.

  • 1998: Selected at the First Visual Arts Festival of National Students, University of Art, Tehran.
  • 2005: Selected at the Fourth Sculpture Biennial of Tehran.
  • 2007: Selected at the Fifth Sculpture Biennial of Tehran.
  • 2008: Selected at the First Urban Sculpture Biennial, Barg Gallery, Tehran.

Kourosh Golnari currently continues his activities and teaches at the university in his personal studio and workshop in Tehran and Karaj.
