Title: Lovers Without Graves
Mahmoud Maktabi, born in 1985 in Tehran, is an interdisciplinary artist who began his artistic career in painting and literature. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Painting at Shahed University of Tehran in 2010.
Since 2005, Maktabi has engaged in environmental art and performance art, and over the past decade, his work has increasingly focused on the intersections of art, science, and food. As an interdisciplinary artist, he has participated in over 50 international exhibitions and festivals in various countries and has been involved in more than 17 environmental art festivals in Iran.
Maktabi has also worked as a curator, collaborating with various art centers in Iran and abroad, including in France, South Korea, Hungary, India, Romania, and the USA. He has played a significant role in introducing both Iranian and international artists in numerous international art exhibitions.
