The passage of events and the daily routines of life come with tensions that, in our continuous efforts to conceal them, turn the mind into a reservoir of secrets, failing to reveal everything we go through. In reality, what has happened and is happening to us remains hidden and often surfaces unexpectedly in places we least anticipate, leaving us suspended between the hidden and its untimely overt manifestations. The invisible shapes and the arrangement of industrial tools beside them give meaning to my presence in another time and place, transforming it into an unbridled imagination that appears anywhere.

Sadegh Khalifeh was born in 1983 in Shushtar. As a teenager, he developed an interest in painting encouraged by his brother, and in 1996, he was introduced to oil painting in Alireza Hemmati-Fard’s class. He then continued painting as a self-taught artist. His works have been previously exhibited in solo exhibitions at Gallery 26 in Tehran, Aknoon Gallery in Isfahan, and Shushtar. Khalifeh’s paintings in the “Unbridled Imagination” exhibition include twelve works in oil and acrylic on canvas and nine pieces in colored pencil and gouache on cardboard.
