Title: “Who Am ‘I’?”

Zohreh Solati, born in 1986 in Tehran, is an Iranian photographer, visual artist, performance artist, and video artist. Her work revolves around themes of femininity, emotions, identity, and social expectations, often exploring body art. Since 2018, she has been documenting her daily life through photography and videography, posing questions about her identity and investigating its various dimensions. This ongoing project, titled “This is Me,” will soon be published as a photo book.

In her works, Solati frequently subjects her own body and mind, involving her audience directly. In her early work “Without Others,” she and her son invited audiences to freely interact with them, turning the performance into a shared experience of simple living. Her art often blends documentary elements, and she has been recently selected to participate in the 12th Persbook Contemporary Arts Biennial.

Solati’s work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at Arte Gallery in Iran, as well as in galleries in Iran, the UK, New Zealand, the USA, and Italy. Some of her works have been featured in festivals such as Micro_MACRO, Auckland Photography Festival, and Format Photography Festival. Her photos of Valiasr Street in Tehran were published in the book “Turning to Valiasr Street” by Tehran Publications.
